This site is optimised for the mainstream browsers Internet Explorer and Netscape. We also test in Opera and Mozilla but don't guarantee that all the more minor functions will work in every browser. We are trying to address accessibility issues in all browsers. Please contact us with problem reports or suggestions. Many Version 4+ browsers will be OK but we do not test Netscape versions earlier than 4.7 which in any case shows some problems and V6+ seems much better! |
Screen resolution should be set at 1024x768 or 800x600 for best results. Higher colour depths are also beneficial, between 16 bit and 32 bit being best. We now test on flat panel screens as well as normal monitors to test colour rendition. Javascript is used to drive the drop-down menus and some other functions too, so JavaScript must be enabled in your browser. |
Our old site used Java applets for the menu buttons and this seemed to cause difficulties for a number of visitors. We now use JavaScript for the menu system and hope that will suit many more of you. We tested the menus in a raw version
of Mozilla
with no extra plug-ins installed and found these menus worked as intended. |
